Actually love the artwork but this project just seems like a total slap in the face to the legacy of the greatest entertainer of all time. Recent collaborators like Will.i.am agree, long-time collaborators like Teddy Riley are disgusted at how the project came together, the Jackson family is apparently not happy, fans don’t even believe Michael really sang on the first single, Breaking News” while the estate for Michael Jackson (not his family??!) counters with a response addressing the controversy that seems so over the top that it doesn’t seem realistic. On top of that anyone agree with me that this new song starts out sounding like a slow-ed down, ballad version of Usher’s “In The Club”?

Omar is one of my all-time favorites. I dig this but does it remind anyone else of Stevie Wonder’s “Ribbon in the Sky”? Check out this house-y ‘At Jazz’ remix then hit the jump for a remix by MJ Cole and a UK Funky House remix by DJ Anticx (aka Ant-Man).

Cool remake of the Boz Scaggs song from Incognito’s latest album, Transatlantic RPM. Here an mp3 audio stream of it too:
I can’t believe Incognito has been around for thirty years now!
“President Obama’s 10-day Asia trip includes visits to India and Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim country. The president chose not to visit the Sikh Golden Temple in Amritsar during his time in India because it required a head covering that his advisers feared would fuel speculation about his faith. A Pew study showed that nearly 20% of Americans believe falsely that the president is a Muslim.
The more Obama reaches out to Muslims, the more his critics are likely to slander him, implying that he is not a Christian. An example is his April 2009 speech in Turkey, in which he said, “We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation, we consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values.” The president’s critics have seized on that statement, insisting that he rejects the Christian foundations of America. Is Obama stuck between a rock and a hard place? If you were the president, how would you handle this dilemma?”
