Chromeo – Hot Mess Featuring Elly Jackson by Chromeo

Remix version of this track from their recently-released Business Casual album with Elly Jackson of LaRoux.

Two Tracks from Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday: Blazin’ feat. Kanye West / Roman’s Revenge feat. Eminem

Nicki Minaj – Blazin’ (feat. Kanye West) by nochasermusic

Produced by Drew Money (who.he??) As good as (I hate to concede) this is, my heart broke a little at hearing Simple Minds’ 80 Brat Pack soundtrack classic, “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” being sampled for this. The Pink Friday album is gonna be so big though, that it’s silly….

Hit the jump for the “Roman’s Revenge” collab with Eminem in case, somehow you’ve been in a coma for the past month and missed it. (more…)

Music Video: Dirty Ghosts – Shout It In [and FREE MP3 download]

I supported this group on the old blog – have to say: I’m a MAJOR fan of what I’ve heard from them so far. Dirty garage rock with hip hop-style beats underneath? Sign me up! Check the backgrounder:

Dirty Ghosts is a new San Francisco based rock(ish) band featuring Allyson Baker and Carson Binks with additional drum production from Aesop Rocks. The video for their debut single “Shout It In” was directed by Justin Metros and Alex Tarrant.

I wish there was more alt. rock in this vein. In fact, if you know people doing sh-t like this anywhere, holla at me, seriously. I wanna speak to them.
