Speaking of Jive records, old and new. Travis Porter is the new. A Tribe Called Quest is the old, but still GREAT! Watch the video above featuring Tribe group member and producer, Ali Shaheed Muhammad speaking on a variety of topics relating to the history of this legendary, iconic group. It’s pretty much mandatory viewing if you want to learn about the epitome of artistry and musicality in hip hop. Young’uns who are unfamiliar (or OG’s like me who haven’t peeped their music in a while ‘cos its all in storage!), here’s the album and remix version of the classic “Scenario” track he discusses in the video. Still one of the greatest hip hop songs of all time (and the inspiration for Nicki Minaj‘s “Roman’s Revenge“):
