Posted this at the old Kitchen but again, this is worth the re-post: this purports to be the original version of BIG‘s classic debut album, Ready to Die before sample clearance problems and Diddy (then Puffy) inserted his more commercial vision for his young protege into the picture.
Before he was getting beat down by Rick Ross then crying to the cops about it and running a bootleg version of an already-bootleg site, DJ Vlad used to make some FIYA-ASS mixtapes and this was one of them. 50 tracks of pure B.I.G. greatness: blends, unreleased (at the time) songs and freestyles. This is still one of the greatest mixtapes of all time. BELIEVE IT! Just hit play:
I posted a link to this before on the old Kitchen but it finally gets a well-deserved full post six years later! Shout to the homie, Jon Moskowitz who spearheaded this project….
