Posted ‘cos it features Toronto rapper/singer, Luu Breeze whose been featured on The Kitchen in the past. I was going to ask how the hell Breeze pulled off being on this track but apparently the connection is that T.dot in-demand beatsmith, Boi-1da was the man behind the track’s beat. Y’all dig it? I think it’s OK which is kind of how I feel about the album overall. I was pretty harsh on the album on twitter after a couple initial listens but have subsequently warmed up to it a little more with more plays. I’m a pretty big Game fan as long-time Kitchen readers know and happen to think his first three album are some of the best the genre has ever seen (seriously), so I hold him to a higher standard than others, including his many detractors, would.

I know this has been out for a minute but this is incredible. Seriously. I run kind of hot and cold on the The-Dream but this mixtape is crazy. I’m assuming by the gold, luxe-style artwork that he’s been partially inspired by the Watch the Throne movement here??

Watch the the viral video for “Let’s Be Real”, the song stirring up all the controversy, (and which I think has actually been around for a while??) above. Then CLICK HERE to read more on the controversy. [Toronto Sun]
If I’m wrong on how long this song has been around, really bad call dropping this in the lead-up to the 10th anniversary of 9/11 but I think the young gunner should be afforded an opportunity to explain this lyric and his point of view and reason for writing it either way, no? Frankly, I think I’m more offended that after all these years he still can’t rap (and I think that, contrary to what he claims, Lil B has more songs than him too!)
