Check out the third studio album from Halifax-bred/Toronto-based rapper, Wordburglar that dropped a couple weeks ago on Hand’Solo Records. Not strictly my thing but Thomas at Hand’Solo is the homie and the opening skit/track is hilarious. Recommended if you dig that nerd style, backpack rap:

Shades of the G20 protest or the London riots? This one I’m sure has the chattering classes chattering (chatting??) just like director, Romain Gavras’ “Bad Girls” and “Born Free” videos for M.I.A.. Or at least might lay to rest the argument that many, myself included, were making that the Watch The Throne album was essentially just one long, self-involved wank by a couple of out-of-touch Black multi-millionaire rappers?
