[Music Video] Saukrates – Tomorrow

I’m a little late on this but here’s the latest video from Saukrates‘ new Season One album. I love the album, which can be considered as much an urban pop album as a hip-hop one, others not so much. Whatchu think though? Hit the jump to stream the entire album if you didn’t hear it yet from the last time I posted it.

[Event] TONIGHT at Yonge-Dundas Square: Ghostface, Raekwon, Action Bronson and Killer Mike

If you’re a hip-hop head who lives in the T.dot/GTA and didn’t know about this, I feel sorry for you. Ghostface, Raekwon, Killer Mike, Action Bronson and local artists Tre Mission and Tasha the Amazon all for FREE at Yonge-Dundas Square this afternoon/evening.

You still have time to make it though as performances don’t start until 4PM this afternoon. Let me just say, I saw Killer Mike last night at Wrongbar and he smashed it to the point that I want to see him again this evening. Catch you down there? If you need additional convincing I’m smdh but that being said, check out this RDIO playlist to get get your mind right or get you in the mood for today’s offering:

[Event] Known to Police Play FREE at the Young People’s Theatre this weekend

Produced by Nomanzlanderz. Looks interesting and relates to a project I am working on currently. Unfortunately was only playing this weekend (for now, at least). Trying to make today’s (Sunday) matinee performance this afternoon.

[MP3] Kay Gee of Naughty By Nature presents Elite – We R Young (KayGee-Mix)

MP3 Download: Elite – We R Young | Alt. download link: MP3

Yes a cover of the recent pop hit by Fun. (which, if I’m not mistaken, samples the breakdown section of Eric B & Rakim‘s “Microphone Fiend”, maybe??). I digs. Kay hates that this is true but I think his core strength was always the fact that he had an ear for pop, crossover anthems. This cover, remake (?), whatever is from the forthcoming mixtape, #WavyFlexinCool.

[Audio Stream] D’Angelo and Questlove’s FULL Live Set at the 2012 Bonnaroo Festival

CAN’T WAIT to get into this. I was pretty psyched to check the video of them doing a version of The Beatles‘ “She Came in Through the Bathroom Window” yesterday so to be able to listen to the full live set is a mind-blower. EPIC!!! Thank you, Questlove.
