[Album Stream] Stumbleine – Spiderwebbed

Nice late night, wind-down chill-out vibes:

One of the members of UK dubstep trio Swarms has splintered off from the pack to release a solo LP under the moniker Stumbleine. He’s offered up “Honeycomb,” one of the tracks from his Spiderwebbed LP, which was recently released via London outpost Monotreme. The song unfurls in layers of warmth and easy-going, soft-hitting beauty; quiet hip-hop samples are nestled between clicking rim hits and blunt kicks, while slow-paced synth stabs flicker overhead.

[MP3 Mashup] Dosvec – IX

I tend to ignore most emails about mash-ups I get nowadays, but I’ve liked and posted a couple things this cat has done in the past so I checked this one out because I was on a bit of tear clearing out my blog inbox tonight and posting a few things I’ve heard and been digging on the tumblr (mostly) and this was one of them. Check it:

“IX” Roman Numeral for the number 9 utilizes 9 different songs to create 1 silky smooth mashup : -)

[Video] Decoded: Miguel – The P Is Mine (interview + performance)

I’ve said it before, the Kaleidoscope Dream album by Miguel is being severely underrated despite being one of the best albums of the year IMHO. It’s also being overshadowed by the admittedly deserved hype around Frank Ocean‘s (somewhat similar sounding) Channel Orange album. Well, The Kitchen is going to try and help rectify that situation if we can. Look for a Miguel CD album and Dec. 11 Toronto concert ticket giveaway coming soon courtesy of Sony Music Canada. Until it’s that time though, enjoy this video of Miguel courtey Hova‘s Life + Times lifestyle site.
