Rejected or (submitted too late?) track for the Django Unchained movie soundtrack. How do you not put a track by probably the hottest new artist of 2012 on your soundtrack??! A&R/Marketing #FAIL, dude will undoubtedly have the consensus #1 album pick of the year amongst critics. I like the album too and stand by that comment even though I actually prefer Miguel‘s Kaleidoscope Dream album which Channel Orange is often compared to. Speaking of which….

New 17 year old producer/MC out of Toronto. I like this kid. Not saying he’s got the equivalent level of mic skills and talent, although he is pretty nice, but he’s got a wise- or mature-beyond-his years demeanor about him like Nas when he was first in the game. This is the first full track from his The Calm mixtape sampling the Rent soundtrack cut of the same name. Dig it and intrigued by my claims about this kid’s talent?
