There are tracks I post on The Kitchen because they are notable even if I hate them, some I post because they are good even if they are not to my personal tastes and some I post because I love them even though I know their audience is small because they deserve the platform and audience this little blog can provide which is why I started doing this in the first place. Then there are tracks that I dig and also think could, under the right circumstances, be bona fide hits or be early evidence of a new star-in-the-making. “Space Mountain” falls into that latter category. Super melodic and catchy and a vocal style that evokes some middle ground charted between Outkast and B.o.B., this could go, IMHO. But then again, no-one is paying me for those opinions any more so sue me if I turn out to be wrong…..
Dig this? BUY Radio3000 – Space Mountain on iTunes

Twenty years ago, Dr. Dre‘s hip-hop masterpiece The Chronic dropped on Death Row via Interscope Records. Then almost 10 years ago, Dre and Interscope both had their hands in the release of modern era, gangsta rap classic, Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ by 50 cent. And now this week, Interscope releases GRODT‘s retarded thematic stepson, Finally Rich by one man, teen, hip-hop train-wreck, Chief Keef. Whither hip-hop? I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised. #hustlinbackwards….
