The homies from Thugli give one of the tracks from Drake‘s ultra-successful Nothing Was The Same album the remix treatment. Kinda fiya! That cover artwork though! Lmao….

I was a big fan of Brixton, London EDM/house duo, Basement Jaxx back in the early aughts when they first came out with “Fly Life” and “Rendez-Vu” but after their second album, I had kind of checked out on them for the most part but these two new tracks suggest maybe they’ve had a return to form. Agree?
I know the whole album leaked, (right??). Just heard this track at the barbershop last night. Skull was immediately cracked, especially after I read the story of who might have produced the track. Interestingly enough, if it is 100% confirmed that it was really the son of Metallica‘s Lars Ulrich that produced “King Push”, that would make a lot of sense given the really interesting drum programming on this track. Total banger status!
I know I’m late on this but I had to check out this album out after I saw Gawker savage it earlier this week plus T.dot’s finest is on a track so why not? For the record, while it’s not on the level of part one, The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 is far from the debacle they claim.
And more mellow weekend vibes. Here’s Swedish duo, Mood Blanc on their sound in a Facebook message they sent me a while back about their first single:
We are Mood Blanc.
Mood Blanc is all about the good things in life.
Love, leisure and laziness. The feeling you have inside after a day on a beach and the nightlife yet to be explored.
We wouldn’t mind hearing our music, sitting on the sun terrace at the Hôtel de Paris.
We wouldn’t mind being the one who takes your mind off things.
Mood Blanc aim to mesmerize.
We are currently working on several tracks, “moodifying” them to fit our world.
Y’all dig and/or agree with the Mood Blanc world view? Let me know….
