An almost completely different version of Run-DMC‘s classic “Peter Piper” at Peoples Club Paddington, London in 1986 with DJ Jam Master Jay killing the Bob James‘ “Take Me to the Mardi Gras” breakbeat live. “F-ck Michael Jackson and his bullsh-t Thriller…” I bet Rev. Run is regretting that line now! This is f-cking EPIC nonetheless though. Props to Random Rap Radio once again.

Hearing this freestyle, where they go raw dog over the “I Get Lifted” breakbeat, reminds me of how good they were and the roots of what hip-hop sued to be. Dig this? Listen to all three tracks from this session London Posse did for BBC Radio’s Janice Long back in 1987 HERE.

Brand new video for this track from El-p & Killer Mike‘s acclaimed Run the Jewels album featuring Outkast‘s Big Boi.

After all, the f-ckery still continues. Smdh….
