This sounds like a mid-career Madonna track which I mean in a (very) good way. You know, that time period when she was listening to a lot of French electronica and house music.
As Just Blaze put it:
“Something to ride down the FDR to on a late night with the top down, reflecting on life… like Rocky in that one scene after Apollo died….”
Agreed! “Firm Family” used to be the song that I thought would be perfect in that scenario (although I was thinking West Side Highway was more scenic and apropos for that particular track).
New De La Soul track featuring the equally legendary Nas (sadly only on the chorus, not on a full or even half verse) with a Dr. Dre “The Watcher” meets The Dap Kings feel but not even from the new album they recently had the smash kickstarter campaign for??! Crazy….
Re: Dynas, “Who U?” is exactly the question I am asking….
