The late, great Big Pun‘s son, Chris Rivers (briefly formerly known as Baby Pun, I believe) demonstrates yet again that the apple don’t fall far from the tree and he got a little flow in him as he spits over this classic (Big Daddy) Kane beat.
Posted on the back of the recent Wimbledon finals (Go, Serena!) and for the Sean P feature. Did he help write One Dae‘s rhymes maybe though ‘cos the flows seems mad similar? Love the John McEnroe vocal samples too. Those were the days.
Been a while since we’ve done some formal Different Kitchen Premieres around these parts but stay tuned as we have plans to do more moving ahead. First up though is up-and-coming Miami-based DJ/Producer, Emkay who has teamed up with The Kitchen to present his latest remix, a nice electro bass flip of rapper du jour, Fetty Wap‘s “RGF Island.”
Dig the remix? You can download a copy of it HERE.

OK, enough Drake imitators, let’s get to the real thing! It’s no Kendrick Lamar “Alright” video but Drake’s new “Energy” video got the internet chatting right now…..
Here’s another cat from ‘Sauga. He was not so charitably described as a ‘random kid’ by FADER whose radar he got on because of an alleged remix Drake supposedly did of his “Sweeterman” track (watch the video or hit the jump for the audio). Not sure if that remix ever surfaced (?) but it was enough to get Ramz‘ Drake(ish)-by-numbers music a little attention. What he does with that attention moving forward is on him though. Like what you hear/see? Check out his whole P2P EP HERE.
