Latest single from DUTCH, a rapper I was just introduced to from Toronto with a ‘new perspective on art.’ He’s an artist in every sense of the word too: a painter, producer, designer, and rapper. Dude’s music is very much in the ‘New Toronto’ vein, sound-wise (think Drake, Tory Lanez, Jazz Cartier, Sean Leon, The Weeknd, Partynextdoor etc.). Is it breaking any new ground? Not really if I was gonna keep it all the way 100. But is it any good? Can’t front, it is. Check it! And for a bonus ICYMI, check his track, “No Measure” from a few months back after the jump…
Amazing new Nas x Erykah Badu track from the forthcoming soundtrack to the film, The Land which stars Badu and is executive produced by Nas.

Can’t front. This record by Skrillex and Rozay, from the Suicide Squad soundtrack, is CRAZY!
The motivation behind this “Controlla” remix, which dropped a while back but is posted here ICYMI, probably didn’t endear Tory to Drizzy but hey, it keeps things interesting….
Ah f-ck it, here goes Tory’s remix of DJ Khaled‘s “I Got the Keys” too:
Following the excellent shot-on-iPhone music video, “Mantra” I posted back in March, the homie, Big Kish has dropped another music video for the track, “The Last Word.” This one is a mediation on his, at times, estranged relationship with his dad which he released, appropriately enough, right around Father Day. It’s an emotionally heavy record but not done in a heavy-handed way and further proof that hip-hop can handle mature, adult topics and doesn’t always have to dwell on the superficial. Nice one, Kish!
