The just-released, new Northen Lights album is great: a nice mix of crossover EDM, dubstep, hip-hop, old school drum n bass, UK grime, au courant indie-electronic pop and more. Nice to see how this Toronto-based duo continues to evolve with their sound and music . We’re big fans of local Toronto MC, Tona. His last album, Carpe Diem was fantastic and his latest album, The Ivy League which just dropped is just as good, if not better! This track, “Red Eye” the single and video from the new album is straight flames and the thing that surprised me the most, it’s produced by another Kitchen fave, Slakah the Beatchild. Knowing his track record I wasn’t expecting a beat like this one, which is just ridiculous, from him! Don’t sleep, go peep this album. Crazy!
