[Event] TONIGHT in Toronto: Tasha The Amazon Live at Wrongbar for Canadian Music Week

Tasha the Amazon, the woman behind one of my favorite tracks of last year, “Scallywags” will be performing late tonight (1am, ouch!) at Wrongbar during Canadian Music Week. This got selected as one of the 10 must-see showcases at CMW so you might could wanna make an effort to get out to see it. I know I’m going to. Check out her latest video & single, “Let It Go” in preparation.

[Events] See Audego Live at Nocturne and Czehoski’s for CMW

Missed them last night at the Gladstone Hotel but the group I dubbed possibly ‘the next Portishead‘, Audego is right here in my hometown of Toronto for Canadian Music Week for a series of shows. I missed last night’s show but I’m definitely going to try and catch one, if not both shows at Nocturne and Czehoski’s, especially since both venues are like less than two blocks from my apt. #downtownliving

[Event] Noisey pres. the Hustle GRL CMW Showcase feat. A-Game, Airplane Boys, NBS & Tre Mission

Full-on urban/hip-hop showcases are few and far between at this week’s Canadian Music Festival but this one, presented by Noisey and local T.dot blogger and urban cultural renaissance wonder girl, Hustle GRL is a noetworthy one featuring some of the city’s best new young talent: A-Game, Airplane Boys, NBS (Nothing But Strangers featuring Rich Kidd, Tona, Adam Bomb) and Tre Mission.
