This popped up randomly as an auto-suggest on my Soundcloud but it’s kind of fiya and I say that as someone who’s had sometime issues with Mayer Hawthorne in the past. Remix of a track from his latest album, Where Does This Door Go which dropped July 16th.
Track featuring Black Hippy, Absoul from the Pete Rock x Camp Lo 80 blocks from Tiffany’s Part 2 mixtape that just dropped today. Good mixtape, BTW. Haven’t checked it out yet? Listen to it in full HERE.
This song is F-CKING BRILLIANT!!! Nuff said. From Ka‘s new (forthcoming still??) Night’s Gambit album which you can listen to in full on NPR’s First Listen HERE…
Pharoahe Monch speaks on the controversial Stand Your Ground law that (along with race) was at the centre of Trayvon Martin case. Amazing artwork too!

Latest remix from local T.dot producer, M-Rock, this time tackling buzzy underground Euro-soul group, Quadron. A little Ivana Santilli sounding for my taste but it’s light, frothy & sweet sounding. Perfect like a Sunday brunch mimosa for this long (?), hot summer we’re having.
Also, look for M-Rock covering for Mark Ronson on his “Authentic Sh-t” radio show this week while he’s away where he’ll probably spin some of his recent remixes and edits!
