[MP3 + Video] Raz Fresco x BrandUn DeShay – Super Smash Bros.

Young gunners from the T.dot. I like this still but two years to get a video made for it?!

[via TOgether]

[New Mixtape] Rich Kidd – We On Some Rich Kidd Shiiiiiit (Vol. 6 City On My Back)

Featuring Talib Kweli, Kardinal Offishall, Chase and Cashe, Pac Div, Zaki Ibrahim, D-Sisive, Tona and Son Real. By ‘new’ I mean this dropped in the last couple weeks. In blog time, this might already be considered old/over! Smdh….

Previously on The Kitchen:

– Rich Kidd & Dj NaNa – Confusion 2 [Music Video]

– Listen to Vol. 1 and 2 of the Rich Kidd vs. DJ NaNa mixtapes HERE.

– Listen to Rah Rah – Henry (Rich Kidd remix) (MP3)

[MP3] Listen to the new Rochelle Jordan – Pressure album in FULL (stream)

New soul talent coming out of the T.dot. Don’t sleep ‘cos you don’t know the name (yet!). This is hot, in the realm (roughly) of The Weeknd, Frank Ocean and Miguel to use some reference points of some like-minded (and sounding) artists that might get your attention. Seriously, check this out. And if you dig, go check out some of her prior releases on her Bandcamp.

[MP3] Listen to the new KJ – Water Album in FULL (Stream)

Despite being a longtime supporter of this dude, I had to find out about this album, which just dropped, from a friend. Why do some indie artists in T.dot seemingly not want to make the effort to you know, like actually promote their albums at all?? Check this out though: album features friend of The Kitchen, Brendan Philip and T.dot buzz artist du jour, Shi Wisdom.

[Event] The Takaba Revue presents: Wordburglar & More Or Les live at The Central in Toronto

Upcoming event from the homie (and excellent hip-hop artist), Modulok featuring recent Kitchen post subject, Wordburglar. Here’s the plug:

The Takaba Revue is pleased to announce the 4th installment this Thurs Aug 2 featuring none other than Toronto via Halifax nerd-rap kingpin WORDBURGLAR alongside hometown hip-hop hero MORE OR LES. These guys put on an incredible live show, not to be missed! Plus our resident DJs the mighty K ZAR and DJ SESSION with all their dirty vinyl goodness.

PWYC but, as usual, all proceeds go to support Antifa.ru, anti-fascist activists in Russia facing political persecution for their courage to stand up against the current climate of neo-fascist anti-immigrant bullsh*t.
