If you’re a regular reader you already know we’ve long been fans of the progressive R&B singer, Miguel and think his new album, Kaleidoscope Dream is one of the best of the year.
Recognizing our support for this great new artists, the good people at Sony Music Canada have graciously provided us with a copy of Miguel‘s album and a pair of tickets to his upcoming December 11 show here in Toronto at The Guvernment.
Gonna keep it relatively simple to win this great prize package. Just tweet:
“@Stellaskid: I wanna win tickets to see @MiguelUnlimited Live at @The_Guvernment on Dec. 11 in Toronto”
and I will select a winner at random at noon on Monday (Dec. 10). I know at least a couple of my fellow bloggers are running similar promotions so your odds of winning are likely pretty good so don’t get fatalistic and not enter ‘cos you think you have no shot. Good Luck!
If you really believe your luck is not that great though and you don’t want to take a chance of missing this show ‘cos it might sell out, you can BUY TICKETS HERE.

This time it’s the Toronto premiere of the documentary, Sing Your Song on singer/actor/activist, Harry Belafonte. For you young’uns, he’s more than just the voice behind the sample for Lil Wayne and Cory Gunz‘ “Six Foot, Seven Foot.” Read on to learn more:

Back again with another inspiring film screening at the Toronto Underground Cinema (186 Spadina Ave), Undercurrents is proud to present the Toronto premiere of Harry Belafonte: SING YOUR SONG on Friday, May 25, at 8:30 PM. This is more than just the story of a man who made a living singing Day-O. This film takes a brief look at the Civil Rights Movement through the eyes of an insider; someone who despite his high profile, wasn’t afraid to spend time in the trenches.
About The Film
Susanne Rostock’s inspiring biographical documentary, SING YOUR SONG, surveys the life and times of singer/actor/activist Harry Belafonte. From his rise to fame as a singer, inspired by Paul Robeson, and his experiences touring a segregated country, to his provocative crossover into Hollywood, Belafonte’s groundbreaking career personifies the American civil rights movement and impacted many other social‐justice movements.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance through ticketpicket.com/singyoursong. The first 25 tickets purchased in advance will receive an 11×17 movie poster. Tickets can also be purchased at the box office on the day of the event. If you’re on Facebook, don’t forget to RSVP HERE.
