Been sitting on this one for a good three plus weeks now. A Friday night is as good a time as any to get it up on the site finally.
My kind of music. This sounds like records I used to dance to in high school at house parties!
Saw this kid, Harrison last night down at the Field Trip Discovery showcase at The Drake Underground. 18 years old and from right here in Toronto, his beats are sick! He had an amazingly beautiful and diverse crowd dancing non-stop to his edits and new, mostly instrumental tracks incorporating 80s R&B and boogie, electronic, nu-house & disco, funk and anything else that gets people moving. Kid is the truth, belee’dat! Amazing video (above) for his “Akira” track (from the When It’s Bright EP) too.

Spotted on my homegirl’s Tumblr, this moody sounding, left-field electronic female vocal track (they used to call stuff like this ‘trip hop’ back in the day, kids!) by Fatima is a heater. And produced by west coast hip-hop producer, Scoop DeVille??! That’s probably the most surprising thing about it. Enjoy and: you’re welcome!
