When I was last in LA in late August, Diplo loaned ETC!ETC! and I his studio to do werk. He had left us some stems to this wild club rap thing he produced “Trampoline” so we decided to load up these vocals and start to mess with em latenight. It was maddd late when we left the session. We had eaten all sorts of snacks. We were sleepy and didn’t really know if what we had done was any good lol. One of those collabs that may or may not have seen the light of day, u know? But, this last couple weeks, we revisited it.. and realized that this beat made us feel some type of way. Remotely, Toronto to LA, we got to polishing it up, getting a ridiculous verse from the Neon Icon… and bringing you this banger.

[MP3] Katy Perry vs PTAF – Boss Ass Roar (DJ Retrokidd Grindin’ On Acid Bootleg)

I won’t even lie: I didn’t know about this super-ratchet, viral smash, “Boss Ass B*tch” by PTAF (Pretty Taking All Fades) until DJ Retrokidd sent me his mash-up using it and Katy Perry‘s recent single, “Roar” via Facebook earlier this week. I personally have no words for “Boss Ass B*tch” but as a couple wags put it online, “I’m pretty sure this is the most ratchet thing to ever be on Youtube. EVER” and “This songs is the blackest thing I’ve ever heard” (sic). Not sure if that latter comment makes me lmao or breaks my heart?
