How do you not post this today? Lil Kim – Black Friday (Nicki Minaj Diss)

Kim
is scorching here (“clap, clap…”) but honestly, I don’t think she can win this one on merit alone (if she even has the chops to). I think the public’s already decided this one and, unfortunately, the criteria’s a little different for women in this sexist world we live in. You can’t be the mature, old vet a la Hova swatting at the young upstart pretenders to the throne disinterestedly. Young & hot almost always trumps old & experienced as far as the female side of things goes, especially in the entertainment world.

Not that Kim doesn’t have half a point but on the other hand Nicki has kind of transcended any thing she ever did. Truthfully, Nicki is more on par with Lady Gaga and Gwen Stefani, artist perception-wise, than she is comparable to other female rappers at this point in the game. I’m sure there’s people out there who knew who Nicki Minaj was before she even dropped the album but who probably have no idea who Lil Kim is as long as she’s been in the game. New Music: Nicki Minaj feat. Drake – Moment 4 Life

Nicki Minaj ft Drake – Moment 4 Life by DIBINC

Another joint (streaming only) from Pink Friday featuring Toronto’s Drake on the co-vocal duties and T-Minus behind the boards.

Two Tracks from Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday: Blazin’ feat. Kanye West / Roman’s Revenge feat. Eminem

Nicki Minaj – Blazin’ (feat. Kanye West) by nochasermusic

Produced by Drew Money (who.he??) As good as (I hate to concede) this is, my heart broke a little at hearing Simple Minds’ 80 Brat Pack soundtrack classic, “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” being sampled for this. The Pink Friday album is gonna be so big though, that it’s silly….

Hit the jump for the “Roman’s Revenge” collab with Eminem in case, somehow you’ve been in a coma for the past month and missed it. (more…)

Music Video: Masia One – Montreal In The Fall

Directed by Bread & Circuses, this video is beautifully shot. And unlike that Kweli video that just dropped, this is actually season appropriate!

Music Video: Drum Squad – Let Cha Know

Another one my girl, Anousheh put me up on but I saw it later over at Kdough’s too. Drum Squad is a crew formed or co-signed by southern producer, Drumma Boy – the track might also actually be called “Let Em Know” and been mis-tagged on the Youtube page (?). Extra credit for having two female members!
