This dropped a couple weeks back but it’s super-dope. Young’uns: if you’ve never heard the seminal crack era musical document that is BDP‘s Criminal Minded album, I suggest you go investigate that STAT after checking this out to hear where the beats used for this project came from!
Also check out the “Movement Music” single from the DJ Revolution presents Malcolm and Martin album, Life Doesn’t Frighten Me dropping February 1st on Soulspazm Records after the jump.
Second single off the Bomb Lennon album slated to drop February 2011 on KC.93 Records & Radio (?!). Not bad!
Sampling The Killers, right? I’m sure there’s some Lupe ‘purists’ who hate this but I think this could be a big hit….
Just got this one from the homie, KP over at the OG mixtape site, datpiff.com. Not loving their name too tough but digging the music so I’ma give ’em a pass on that for now. This sounds like some classic boom-bap style hip hop to me: lyrical MC’s doing they 1-2 thing over some hard beats. Otherwise known as my kind of hip hop! Check it out and tell me what you think though:

Kid’s got bars no doubt and happy to hear him go in over some some classic hip hop beats and breaks but anyone else feel his voice and flow gets a little repetitive over the course of more than a few songs??
