Music Video: Big K.R.I.T. feat. Curren$y & Killa Kyleon – Moon & Stars (Remix)

How do I not post this??! Killa Kyleon and Big K.R.I.T are responsible for two of my favorite mixtapes this year and you already know about Curren$y if you been paying attention to what’s been going on on the underground hip hop parts of the Internets recently.

Video: Mikkey Halsted feat. Freddie Gibbs – FNB (Prod. by No I.D.)

BTW: did you know No I.D. produced the entire album by British rock singer, Richard Ashcroft (of The Verve and “Bittersweet Symphony” fame) but apparently they went back in and remixed the whole thing after it was done and it doesn’t sound nearly the same as Dion’s original vision for the record. Methinks they need a ‘Producer’s Edition’ of this record (kind of a like a Director’s Cut with DVD’s) for the real heads who, like me, want to hear who those two geniuses (genii?) came up with in the lab before fear or the industry encroached to f-ck it up!

Introducing New Artist Narubi Selah – U Already Know

I’m trying to support as many good female artist as I can find and this one came out the blue from the inbox. This is major props I’m about to give but she puts me in the mind of Lady of Rage a little. Her enunciation is impeccable and the spit game overall is respectable too. Y’all dig??

Video: Blitz the Ambassador – Best I Can (Live at the Trans Musicales Festival)

Been sleeping on posting stuff on my dude, Blitz for a long time now but be clear: dude is one of the NICEST out, especially live. Blitz is one of the few rappers or any type of artist, for that matter who will entertain you and make a fan out of you even if you’ve never heard any of his songs before. Now that’s a REAL musician.

Peep this video of him live at Trans Musicales in Rennes, France in front of 58,000 concert-goers doing “Best I Can” from his forthcoming new album, Native Sun (dropping April 2011) for a little taste of why I say that.

After the jump, check for details on Blitz’ upcoming shows at SOB’s and Joe’s Pub where he will be performing new tracks from Native Sun for the first time in NYC. BUY TICKETS links follow too….
