New Music: ¡MAYDAY! f. N.O.R.E. –They Told Me (Midi Mafia Remix)

I can’t front, I think this is a hit record, like an all over Top 40/CHR radio hit record, not a, “I topped Hype Machine ‘hit’ record.”

Introducing Chuck Tailor – the Good.Luck.Chuck.SomeX.Music.Sux EP

Here’s another new MC from the West Coast that I’m diggin’. Check it out and tell me if you agree with my call on this one. Here’s the official plug:

“The homie, Chuck Tailor from Los Angeles, CA and his gang come together with a heavy new free EP of dope music. A short collection of some raw hip hop sh-t. He recorded this whole record in one evening, no soundproofing, no engineers, just him, some green and a couple of Heinekens.”

One evening?! Wow! His Good.Luck.Chuck.SomeX.Music.Sux EP is a free download but hit the jump for an mp3 stream and download of one of the tracks (shared for hype machine purposes), “eMerson.Interupt(Gotta.Feeling)” (produced by Sen Beatz) and sampling (I believe) Stephanie Mills’ “What Cha Gonna Do With My Lovin’.”

The xx – You’ve Got The Love (Theophilus London Remix) by TILLS

This is credited to The xx but I think this was actually a Florence + the Machine track originally, no?
