This track feels more Fish N Chips than Fish Fry to me. It’s like a britpop, mid-tempo chugger with a little country-bluegrass twang in the mix. Maybe it’s appropriate then that she’s playing a club called The Hoxton tonight (June 11)! That song description makes it sound horrific but it actually ain’t too bad but maybe not what long-time fans (like me!) are looking for from Kelis?? Hopefully we’ll get what made us fall in love with her at the show. CLICK HERE for show details.
Speaking of Solange though, here goes a new track by her former producer Dev Hynes under his Blood Orange moniker from his Cupid Deluxe album.
Another indie-ish one that I dig although honestly, this one actually sounds like something that Solange “Boom Boom” Knowles would do.
I don’t post a lot of straight up indie/alternative/rock types sounds on the site but the tracks I like I will support and this is one I really like! And it’s the third single from their album, Fortuna??! Must be a helluva album. I need to check it out.
Sunset in Toronto is 8:46 today and trust me I enjoyed every bit of the amazing weather today by getting outdoors as I could.
