And more mellow weekend vibes. Here’s Swedish duo, Mood Blanc on their sound in a Facebook message they sent me a while back about their first single:

We are Mood Blanc.
Mood Blanc is all about the good things in life.
Love, leisure and laziness. The feeling you have inside after a day on a beach and the nightlife yet to be explored.
We wouldn’t mind hearing our music, sitting on the sun terrace at the Hôtel de Paris.
We wouldn’t mind being the one who takes your mind off things.
Mood Blanc aim to mesmerize.
We are currently working on several tracks, “moodifying” them to fit our world.

Now this is f-cking cool! T.dot MC, King Reign, author of one of my favorite tracks of all time, “Guilty Party” (which I blogged waaaay back in the day) is back with a new joint that reinterprets UK new wave/post-punk outfit, XTC‘s “Dear God” for the beat on his song of the same title. [MP3] The Slakadeliqs – 2nd Most

Long time readers are probably aware that I was a MAJOR fan of The Slakadeliqs’ The Other Side of Tomorrow album. So you know I was beyond psyched (pun kind of intended as you will see….) when I spotted this new track on RDIO. Clearly Slakah is exploring the sixties aspects of the ‘deliqs’ gumbo stew sound on this Beatles-esque, psychedelic slow burner, presumably a taster from their next album [correction: according to his soundcloud page this is a “Bonus Track to U.K. release of Slakah the Beatchild’s Psychedelic Soul project “The Slakadeliqs”.
