Still a pretty balanced ballot for me this year versus last year even with my picking three hip-hop albums versus only one (!) last year.

Nice soulful, throwback-feeling track from Colemine Records for your Sunday listening pleasure. Look for Fat Night to tour the southeast in Mid August in support of their forthcoming debut full-length album.

[MP3] Cosmo Baker – She’s Hearing Bombs (Outkast x Bloc Party Mash-Up)

Kind of tired of the mash-up thing tbh but this one by Cosmo Baker combining Outkast‘s “Bombs Over Baghdad” and Block Party‘s “She’s Hearing Voices” is simple but effective. Worth the click….

Indie-disco, dance-punk, disco-rock?? I’ve no idea how you should label this (or if you need to), but I LOVE it!!! Shades of David Byrne/early Talking Heads on this one….
