After spending most of my afternoon shoveling snow from the aftermath of the same storm that inspired Slakah to create this track, it felt only appropriate to post it…
Woke up to a storm yesterday. My goal was to create at least two full instrumentals. I purchased a used Yamaha AN1X a few months ago but never really had the chance to use the sounds in that synth so today I finally got a chance to do it and most of the synth sounds are from the AN1X.
Two tracks from Guelph-based instrumental, progressive beats production auteur, Elaquent‘s Parallel EP. Recommended if you dig Dilla or Flying Lotus.
From his latest beat mixtape, Elephant Shoes Volume 004. Best beat by far on there, really nicely done, imho….
Not essential but very f-cking cool!
A box of donuts anyone? This is J Dilla‘s classic album on seven 7-inch singles, plus a bonus 45 with “Signs” b/w “Sniper Elite & Murder Goons” with Doom & Ghostface. Just announced this morning for early Jan. release. Available now via pre-order.
