New ‘trap’-style banger from them Keys N Krates boys. Nice!
Previously on The Kitchen:
– Keys N Krates – Dum Dee Dum [MP3]
– Keys N Krates – Treat Me Right (Grandtheft Remix) [MP3]
– Felix Cartal & Autoerotique – Alarm (Keys N Krates Remix) [MP3]
For those of you who blithely dismiss Zeds Dead as just another dubstep production crew, this track gives you a sense of the true scope of their talent. Nice track featuring Swedish singer, Greta Svabo Bech. These dudes stay on the road performing though and have a massive North American-wide tour about to kick off. I have no idea how the hell they manage to keep dropping new tracks, remixes and DJ mixes. #hustlehard

UK pop-soul sensation, Laura Mvula makes her debut (?) appearance in Toronto next weekend in support of her acclaimed Sing To The Moon album. Extra special bonus: buzzy, neo-soul female trio, KING are the opening act. This could be an epic show which unfortunately I’m gonna miss as I’m heading out of town that day, grrr! Wanna win tickets to see them both though? All you have to do is follow me on twitter (so I can contact you via DM in the event you win) and tweet the following:
“.@Stellaskid: I wanna win tickets to see @LauraMvula & @WeareKING Saturday Sept. 7 at @TheModClub, presented by @EmbracePresents” [note: the quotation marks not necessary when you actually send your tweet]
The contest will run until 12noon EST, Sept. 5 and the winner will be announced via twitter. Thanks to Embrace for supplying the tickets for this contest.

KING – Supernatural (LIVE at KPFK):
New video from acclaimed Canadian MC, Shad. The track, which references Highlife or other similar Afropop sounds, is a little too pop sounding for my personal tastes but lyrical themes-wise, it’s pretty unf-ckwittable.
Copped on cassette (yes, you read that right) last night at the Spek Won video release party where Brendan was the opening performer. I was gonna buy it anyway just to support, but was cracking on him until I realized I actually still have a cassette player in active use in my apartment right now, lol. See the video above
