Say Less features OVO SOUND artists Partynextdoor and dvsn, as well as PNB Rock and 24hrs.
This is Wood$’ first LP released on the OVO Sound label co-founded by Aubrey “Drake” Graham and Noah “40” Shebib. Previous projects include the 2015 EP Exis, which featured Drake on the single “Drama,” as well as the 2016 EPs Nocturnal and Waking at Dawn.
Just 21 years old, Roy Wood$ has accomplished more in the span of two years than most people do in a lifetime. Born Denzel Spencer in Brampton, Ontario, Wood$ first caught the attention of award-winning rapper Drake in 2015, going on to be signed to the OVO SOUND label and debuting his first single “Drama” featuring Drake on OVO SOUND Radio in July of 2015. Wood$’ second single “Get You Good” was also premiered on OVO SOUND Radio in late summer of 2015, right ahead of his debut EP Exis, which peaked at #10 on the U.S. R&B Billboard Charts.
In 2016, Wood$ released his second project, Waking at Dawn, which was endorsed and promoted by Drake, Wiz Khalifa and Joe Kay of Soulection, peaking at #6 on the U.S. R&B Billboard Charts. After the large success of this project, Wood$ joined Drake and Future, as well as OVO SOUND artists dvsn and Majid Jordan on the international Summer Sixteen Tour. Also in 2016, Wood$ released his second EP Nocturnal through OVO SOUND, which garnered stellar reviews, in addition to the artist amassing 4 million monthly listeners on Spotify and more than 1 million social media followers across Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
After completing two independent headlining tours, next up is the release of Roy’s highly-anticipated debut album Say Less, which is bound to be his most impactful and sonically mature project to date.

New (?) sound for the homies in Keys N Krates. Here’s the PR blurb:
Toronto-based live electronic act Keys N Krates are back to share a new single. “Glitter” features Ambré, and sees the group continuing to expand their sound and explore new territory as they broaden their style beyond the dance world. A deep twilight groove featuring New Orleans R&B talent Ambré, Keys N Krates emerge from the darkness with “Glitter,” which layers intoxicating vocals over snappy bass and warped strings for a hypnotic slowed down disco feel.
“We were trying to draw from music we love and grew up on like Jay Dilla, Tribe, DJ Premiere, as well as current stuff that we love like everything from Beach House to Chrome Sparks to a lot of current rap stuff,” explains the group’s turntablist Jr. Flo. “We wanted everything to sound like a sample.”
The group is also announcing that “Glitter” will be the lead single to their debut album, entitled Cura, arriving in early 2018 via Dim Mak Records.
Coinciding with the release of “Glitter,” Keys N Krates are also announcing a lengthy North American tour set to kick off on January 24th and running through the spring.
We likes. Y’all?
We really like this one. Toronto is on fire right now!
Some raw dog R&B from Toronto (You couldn’t tell by the “I run to Timmy’s…” reference??). From the Trip II Rome EP, that`s out? Partially??
