Big K.R.I.T. – ReturnOf4Eva by Q-CA
From K.R.I.T.:
“I am proud to present “Return Of 4eva” to all my supporters, I took the past year to work on this project. I reached out to some of my favorite artists that I felt represented what this album was about. Ludacris, Bun B, David Banner, Chamillionaire, Big Sant, Joi & Raheem Devaughn all helped me to make my vision of this album complete. I hope you all love it.”

A mix of vintage Japanese hip-hop mixed by Monk-One and E’s E. Some background from Monk-One:
“I lived in Japan when I was a kid, graduated from high school there in fact. Though I haven’t been able to get back much in recent years (damn you, weak US$!) I still have big love for the land of the rising sun and its peeps. The recent devastation has my thoughts locked on Nihon, so my partner E’s E and myself decided to put together a mix of some of our favorite Japanese hip hop as a tribute and gesture of solidarity for our homies over there.
From one long island to another, I present to you B-Boy Bungaku, an hour’s worth of solid nipponese rap heat straight from the shelves of Cisco, Manhattan, DMR and other long-gone Shibuya record shops of the ’90s, mixed with love.”

MP3 Stream (no download): Constellations – The A to Z of Dennis Coffey: A Mix By House Shoes by Strut
New mix by one of the keepers of the J. Dilla legacy, DJ House Shoes. Read on for what it’s all about:
“Leading up to the foundational Motor City guitarist’s new self-titled solo album, Detroit’s own House Shoes takes us on a journey through Dennis Coffey‘s history of funk. Including the psychedelic b-boy soul of Coffey’s 70’s solo material, classic recordings on which he recorded as a sessions musician, hip-hop cuts which have sampled his material, and even a couple of sneak peaks at the new album’s music, Constellations is 45 minutes of straight heat, mixed by a master DJ intimately acquainted with Coffey’s legacy, and his future.”

The Best of Nate Dogg mixed by DJ M-Rock by mrockproducerdj | Alt download link: hulkshare
The second installment in the M-Rock Best of Series Mixtapes: The Best of Nate Dogg.
“This week’s M-Rock Mondays [ed note: yes, I’m a tad late!] is a tribute to the best of probably the greatest hook vocalist in hip-hop. Nate Dogg had made his mark as a legend and main ingredient in the game the first time we heard him on “Ain’t No Fun” off of the classic album, Doggystyle. He’s “that dude who can make you cry even though he’s singing about putting his balls in somebody’s mouth!”. Listening to his music all over again reminds me of how flawless his voice was, his songwriting and how essential he was in making a song a banger whether it’s for the club or something smooth like “Regulate” or “Never Leave Me Alone”. Ice Cube said “it must be a single if Nate Dogg’s on it”, and rumour has it that “Oh No” (his single w/ Mos Def, Pharaoh Monche) has a record for the highest vinyl rap singles sold. Being a DJ who plays a bit of T-Pain and autotune-made music, it gives me a special appreciation to hear how much of a natural pitch-perfect singer Nate was – even his youtube freestyles give the impression that he did not rely on sound engineering the way today’s singers do. This tape was a rush compared to my Best of Kanye West mixtape, but my skills are still sharp on it. Enjoy. RIP Nathaniel Dwayne Hale.”
