George Bush Says Kanye West Calling Him A Racist Was The Lowest Point of His Presidency!

Fast forward to the 2:05 mark and also CLICK HERE.

Bush was being interviewed by Matt Lauer on NBC to promote his upcoming biography, Decision Points. Not sure I can be arsed to read it though. I tried reading his stooge, Tony Blair’s A Journey biography and it was just terrible: 600+ pages of tortured prose and it took me three weeks to get even 70 pages in (i.e. nowhere close to the part that anyone cares about which is why he backed Bush on the lunacy of starting the Iraq War to depose Saddam Hussein and find his ‘secret’ stash of WMD’s). I gave up and returned it to the library and haven’t been motivated to borrow it again and try and finish it.

AP News: Jerry Brown Beats Meg Whitman in the Calif. Governor’s Race

Well that was $140 million down the drain!

Not a good day for California Republican former female business executives-turned-aspiring-politicians all around yesterday. Hit the jump for a video on the news that Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer fended off a challenge from former HP CEO Carly Fiorina to hold her Senate seat for a fourth term. (more…)

Rep. John Boehner: The American People Have ‘Sent an Unmistakable Message’

All evidence to the contrary, ‘unmistakable message’ my ass, Mr. Boehner! I’m sick over this though! After catching a bit of Rand Paul’s smug victory speech on CNN last night, I couldn’t bear to watch any more of the election results. Depressing….

Videos: President Obama’s Last Minute Call to Get Out the Vote on Nov. 2

I’m still a fan and realize he’s done the best he can with the horrible hand he was dealt by his predecessor, but that was hardly inspiring stuff in the video above as compared to the soaring rhetoric and vision he laid out during his historic ’08 campaign. Democrats are really bent over a chair for these midterms by comparison: is it gonna hurt much?

Click the jump for another video of President Obama at a rally in his hometown in Chicago saying : “I need you to keep on fighting.” (how should I take the opening shot showing a bunch of Black dudes walking away from the stage at the beginning of the clip??)

So remember kids, vote tomorrow or prepare to face a President Palin future! (more…)

Video: Moveon.org’s CNNBC says Vote Tuesday or Prepare for a President Palin Future!

I posted this to Facebook with the message, “Technically creative and humorous but rhetorically way over top (or is it??!)” One of my friends responded, “Yes, rhetorically over the top, in the spirit of the times” to which I responded, “Also in the spirit of these times, the Right will probably attack this clip as harboring closet ‘sympathies’ for the insurgent position in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq instead of as the homage to the Terminator films it really is!” Life in 2010.
