Throwback Music: Lyman Woodard Organization – Saturday Night Special (Alternate Take)

Beautiful soulful jazz instrumental. If you dig stuff like Bob James or the CTI records jazz catalogue this will be right up your alley. Amazingly cool throwback video too!

[MP3] The Wild Bunch vs. Soul II Soul – New Years Eve 1987 (Live DJ Mix)

MP3 download: Wild Bunch/Soul II Soul – Wild Bunch Vs Soul II Soul New Years Eve 1987 (Live DJ Mix)

Another re-post from the original Kitchen:

This is f-cking EPIC! For young uns’ benefit, here’s the background story: when The Wild Bunch broke up they became Soul II Soul (with Nellee Hooper joining Jazzie B‘s London crew and helping them produce “Back to Life” and “Keep On Movin'”) and Massive Attack (formed by WB members Daddy G, 3D and maybe Milo too, though not sure about that last one).

Test Pressing has more crucial UK sounds. Check them out HERE.
