[MP3] Chris Brown feat. T-Pain – N-ggas in Paris (Freestyle)

MP3 Download: Download Chris Brown N-ggas In Paris (Freestyle) feat T-Pain

And in case you missed it, here’s “5 O’Clock”, T-Pain‘s unlikely collab with UK pop moppet, Lily Allen that has turned into a massive hit:

[Mixtape] Terius Nash (The-Dream) – 1977

I know this has been out for a minute but this is incredible. Seriously. I run kind of hot and cold on the The-Dream but this mixtape is crazy. I’m assuming by the gold, luxe-style artwork that he’s been partially inspired by the Watch the Throne movement here??

[DJ Mix] CLAE presents Five By Five Series: DJ Clark Kent – Grown & Sexy Mix Vol. 10

MP3 Download: CLAE presents Five By Five Series: DJ Clark Kent “Grown & Sexy Mix Vol. 10” by CLAE Footwear

As the approaching Labor Day weekend signals the end of summer, CLAE is proud to present number two in its Five by Five series, pairing artists and DJs to inspire one another with soundscape and accompanying visuals. For the second installment, DJ Clark Kent, who needs no introduction to the world of music – or sneakers for that matter – has created the 10th installment of his “Grown and Sexy” mixtape series, timed perfectly to coincide with our ten year anniversary. Boundary-pushing photographer Jamil GS, who has been documenting all things sexy since landing in New York City from Denmark more than twenty years ago, offers up a singular, visual treat.”

Perfect cookout soundtrack music for the upcoming long weekend (for those of you getting ready to enjoy some time off for Labor Day in Canada and the US). This is pure FIYA!!! If you don’t agree after playing it, I feel sorry for you….

[New Artist] Introducing Elan Tamara

My dude, Duane Harriott (of Negroclash) put me up on this new singer out of London. I think she’s the truth. A blend of Bjork and Adele. Yeah, like that good! Check her out for yourself and tell me I’m wrong on that!

[DJ Mix] DJ Mensa presents BABYGIRL: An Aaliyah Retrospective

Today marks the 10th year of the passing of our beloved Aaliyah. For everyone that came up with her music, this one especially hurt.

Following her career was watching a flower in bloom. Aaliyah’s sultry voice, mature demeanour, and provocative lyrics at so young an age captivated millions. Hers was the archetype for so many teenage women coming into their own. She encountered controversy early in her career, and shrugged it off with remarkable grace, and emerged with a new sound, identity, and stronger resolve. Her track record remained virtually flawless. As Aaliyah grew up, so did we.

It was never hard to find something you could love in Aaliyah, someone who had lived in the spotlight from day one. She was a regular girl even while walking down the red carpet. Aaliyah could turn on the star power at will, but found pockets of fun in a business that took itself so seriously. She kept her circle devoid of hangers-on and yes men. Her family was her main priority and support system. The spoils of celebrity were a bonus but not a priority. Aaliyah kept herself balanced because she was in her element as an entertainer.

Aaliyah’s life was tragically cut short at the height of her fame, and is comparable with Kurt, Jimi, Janis, and now Amy as artists who we all knew had long thriving careers ahead of them, but now we can only speak of beautiful fleeting moments we had during their time with us.

This is a mix of her key singles and album cuts. Songs that became anthems for us while we crushed on someone heavy, were in the midst of infatuation, embroiled in argument, or were dealt the crushing blow of love lost. Aaliyah explains her mindset at the different times of her artistry and career throughout the mix.

Forever with us. Rest in peace, Babygirl.”

Has it really been 10 years already??! Baby girl is still missed, but Toronto’s DJ Mensa does her justice with this tribute mix:
