This video tagged Palin as looking ‘Presidential’ on youtube! WTF??! I couldn’t even get 2 minutes in w/o becoming outraged as the misspeaks and outright falsehood she was peddling. That being said, I’d love her to run against Obama in 2012. The comedy factor alone would make it worth it but don’t get it twisted: between the simple-mindedness of many Americans and complicity of the US media in misleading them, I wouldn’t underestimate her ability to actually become a viable and competitive candidate! As for this event, it was celebrating the fact that, had he been alive, Reagan would have turned 100 this past week. Cue much Rose-tinted glass nostalgia in conservative (and even beyond) circles. I guess I would have to beg to differ!

Got the heads up on this one via The Colbert Report…
Could this conversation with Craig R. Smith, CEO of Swiss America trading Corp., not be considered some kind of incitement or should I just dismiss it as the ridiculous fear-mongering that it strikes me as? Or if it is actually the former (and with Fox News, you know you can never count that possibility out), have we not learned the lesson of the Giffords shooting? So much for bringing a more genteel and civil tone to our news media and politics….
Seriously, I’m gonna miss that guy. Just for the comedy factor alone!

Naturally, homegirl is catching crazy heat for this video and in particular the “blood libel” line from it. The video was actually down for a split second but it looks like it’s back up now. I really hope she runs in 2012. The entertainment value alone would be unparalleled.
