Don’t know much about this new cat, but if you dig Coldplay and singer-songwriter type sounds in a Fiona Apple-ish vein, then this might be up your alley?
Another unearthed from the nooks and crannies of the Kitchen inbox. Quirky eletro-pop from (I believe) the UK. From the Iconic EP that dropped in October. I digs. If you do too, you can cop this on iTunes.
The crew at Digiwaxx sent me this a while back. Is this kid the next Bruno Mars (or Ne-Yo)? He may already have something poppin’ on radio and I’m late here but if not, I think this kid could be huge. I actually hear shades of Michael Jackson too on some of the tracks but I know better than to be fool enough to even try and anoint anyone the next version of him because that’s a once in multiple generation talent we lost in 2009, basically irreplaceable. Like what you hear between these two tracks though? Then check out the full Austin Brown – Highway 85 Mixtape Vol. 1 HERE and tell me if I’m onto something here or totally out of my mind.
Been clearing out my blog email inbox which had over 12,000 unread messages in it. Now going through the remaining messages to see what I’ve missed over the past year or so. This is one of those things: a track from Wilson‘s The Never Ending Now album that dropped like in April of last year! There’s never a wrong time to share or celebrate good music though so in case you missed it, check out the full album HERE.
Previously on The Kitchen:
– Spree Wilson – Sharpshooter (music video)
– Spree Wilson – No Use In Running (MP3)
Taken from the We Come Running Remix EP out now. Diggin’ this one a lot! Hit the jump for a bonus track, which came in the same email as this track.
