Actually love the artwork but this project just seems like a total slap in the face to the legacy of the greatest entertainer of all time. Recent collaborators like Will.i.am agree, long-time collaborators like Teddy Riley are disgusted at how the project came together, the Jackson family is apparently not happy, fans don’t even believe Michael really sang on the first single, Breaking News” while the estate for Michael Jackson (not his family??!) counters with a response addressing the controversy that seems so over the top that it doesn’t seem realistic. On top of that anyone agree with me that this new song starts out sounding like a slow-ed down, ballad version of Usher’s “In The Club”?

First here’s the title track produced by NYC radio DJ, DJ Yonny from the sister of Nina Sky:

Dig that? Then check out the entire EP (which was supposed to drop in later summer, did it?) and watch a video for “You Ain’t Got It (Funk That)” after the jump…. (more…)
Something a little different via the homie from the A, Ian Burke:
“Now you know I’m always trying to bring y’all the “New New” so check out this new artist I was introduced to via Naz Tokio…J.Kap with a video co-directed by my new friend Jeff “RITE” Schulman. As always please give me your thoughts.”
After the release of the “Whip my Hair” video last night in the wake of the growing viral buzz for the Sesame Street song & video, “I Love My Hair”, I guess this was inevitable. Mec Jagger, you’re a fool for this one…..
First Shawty Mane (aka Justin Bieber) rockin’ over Vado & Cam‘s “Speakin’ In Tungs.”
Then Ole Dirty’s son going by the name of Young Dirty Bastard (d’uh):
The image and the aura is startling to behold but can anyone, even his own son, ever really duplicate the unique energy and spirit that was the ODB?
But getting back to the original questions posed, so who’s better? I was gonna give young Mane his due (although Vado’s wildin‘ saying he sounds like B.I.G. – WTF??!?) until I heard he swagger-jacked his rhymes from a young Down South spitter named, Torey Lanez. Hit the jump for the video with the evidence. (more…)
