Truth be told, even after all this time, it still actually trips me out that hip-hop industry stalwarts & veterans like Felli Fel (and frankly, Lil Jon!) would make unabashed EDM club records like this but real talk, for many of them, they’d be out of work or playing for handfuls of poeple if they didn’t make that pivot.

Long-time readers of The Kitchen know I’ve been a massive Game fan from time through all the shots people fired at him for being a crew hopper, name dropper and bi-polar wannabe. That being said, he’s still standing, still making great music and adapting to this new hip-hop era without sounding like an awkward, out-of-touch old man. Respect that! Was too busy last week to post this when it dropped. Canada Day works with the Drake component though.
Bummed I missed the homie, Vince Staples‘ debut (?) performance in Toronto during NXNE last week. Heard it was fire though. I’m sure he performed this and other tracks from his forthcoming debut full length album, Summertime 06 coming on Def Jam as well 2014 Kitchen favorite “Blue Suede.”
