[MP3 + Music Video] Midlife – The Magnificent Moon

Mildlife are a Melbourne four-piece bonded over the desire to push musical boundaries, developing tight live shows bolstered by wild improvisation, with influences that vary between the loose electronics of Caribou, Floating Points and Todd Terje to the more organic likes of Can, Sun Ra, Herbie Hancock and the fellow Australian psych revivalists, Tame Impala. They have just announced their debut LP via Australian imprint Research Records for February 23rd. “In terms of their influences, the Australian group remain as open as they can possibly be, an breathlessly ambitious fusion of house music, psychedelia, disco, soul, and more.” Clash magazine have said.

SOLD!

Another Oz act that seems inspired by the modern indie-electronic-psychedelic spark Tame Impala set off. Again, we are not mad at that. As the ‘kids’ say, we are here for that! Hit play and enjoy this near 9 minute magnificent journey.

“The Magnificent Moon” track from the forthcoming Phases LP.
