Nice late night vibes from a very promising artist I’ve featued on The Kitchen before. For you older folk who recognized the sample in the backing tracking and it’s killing you trying to figure out what it is, Justo was cool enough to let me know it was the late 60s, easy listening classic, “Midnight Cowboy” by Ferrante & Teicher with Vincent Bell.
The homies from Thugli give one of the tracks from Drake‘s ultra-successful Nothing Was The Same album the remix treatment. Kinda fiya! That cover artwork though! Lmao….

I know I’m late on this but I had to check out this album out after I saw Gawker savage it earlier this week plus T.dot’s finest is on a track so why not? For the record, while it’s not on the level of part one, The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 is far from the debacle they claim.
Now this is f-cking cool! T.dot MC, King Reign, author of one of my favorite tracks of all time, “Guilty Party” (which I blogged waaaay back in the day) is back with a new joint that reinterprets UK new wave/post-punk outfit, XTC‘s “Dear God” for the beat on his song of the same title. Nice! Thanks to the homie, Click for the heads up in this one….

Long time readers are probably aware that I was a MAJOR fan of The Slakadeliqs’ The Other Side of Tomorrow album. So you know I was beyond psyched (pun kind of intended as you will see….) when I spotted this new track on RDIO. Clearly Slakah is exploring the sixties aspects of the ‘deliqs’ gumbo stew sound on this Beatles-esque, psychedelic slow burner, presumably a taster from their next album [correction: according to his soundcloud page this is a “Bonus Track to U.K. release of Slakah the Beatchild’s Psychedelic Soul project “The Slakadeliqs”. Check the video HERE“]. Nice….
