For you young’uns, Kool G. Rap is one the greatest, and most underrated, to ever touch a mic. Honestly? In my mind, he’s the cat that Nas copped most of the rhyme style he flaunted on the classic Illmatic album from and I don’t think he’d really even deny it either.

These tracks are not G. Rap at his artistic peak but even slightly less-than-stellar G. Rap is better than most MCs bussin’ at their very best. “Foul Cats (Remix)” and “Rising Up”, sampling Survivor‘s “Eye of the Tiger” (aka the theme song from Rocky 4), both produced by the homie, Domingo follow:
