I guess it depends who raps on theese faux-cinephonic hip-hop ‘epic’ tracks that are Khaled’s stock-in-trade ‘cos I actually kind of like this song but, as long-time Kitchen aficionados know, I am a massive Game fan and a grudging respecter of Rick Ross. I’ll say this much: I dig this joint more than the supposed official single from his next official album, The R.E.D. Album and DJ Skee & DJ Funkmaster Flex-sponsored mixtape, Purp and Patron, “I’m the King”:

Sounds like a wack, halfhearted attempted at “a Power” type of production at the beginning to me but that smoked-out Curren$y/Wiz Khalifa-esque lyrical subject matter and feel ain’t it that takes over as the song continues, homie!

Speaking of punks jump up…

This record is F-CKING AMAZING!!!! A damn near-PERFECT club remix of the late 70’s punk classic “Pretty Vacant” by the notorious Sex Pistols. I would rate this an 11 except for a semi-suspect guitar solo (so un-punk) at the 3-minute mark but then again, 11+ minute disco re-works of dirty punk rock records aren’t punk either (or are they??) F-ck it though: check this immediately if you dig killer, dance floor music. Despite a slew of great music, just today even, this is my favorite record of the week and probably the month by a MILE……
