Two tracks from the Dope Perspective album. Beat on the first one is crazy, reminds me of Freeway‘s “What We Do” mixed with Jay-Z’s “December 4th.” The second jackals Tracey Chapman‘s “Fast Car.” It’s no “Sometimes I Rhyme Slow” (by Nice N Smooth) but it ain’t bad! “You ain’t hard sound more like the easiest/Problem never solved in my life, the Main ingredient….”
New single from an up–and-coming West (‘Fresh’) coaster, ICON in collaboration with Montreal-based producer Ruffsound. Sent to me by his manager with a note saying, “As sure as your site indicates an appreciation for a broad spectrum of music that includes Dave Brubeck to Pac Div, I’m quite confident you’ll appreciate my artist.” His instincts served him well, I do kind of dig this. Do you?? Video coming soon apparently….
This is the latest offering from Tommy Boy, the seminal hip-hop/dance music label that gave you Three Feet High and Rising, “O.P.P.”, “Jump Around”, “Ladies First” and “The Humpty Dance”!
