And yes the CD, whose release is being celebrated this evening does have the exact same name as a spoken word EP by AfraKaRen I posted a few months back here at The Kitchen for you more eagle-eyed readers. Weird….

I know I’m a little late posting these but no matter, I know most of y’all from outside the Dot ain’t seen these yet (or if you have, good on you!). These were some cyphers put together and shot for the Stylus DJ Awards, the biggest and best known ‘urban’ music award show in Canada that celebrates all aspects of DJ culture from mixtapes and mixshows spanning the top DJ-related genres from hip hop, house and R&B to dubstep, electro and techno. These are some of the best up-and-coming MCs and rappers in Canada. Drop a note to let us know what you think of them, aight?
