MP3’s: Kid Sister – Kiss Kiss Kiss (Mixtape) by Hypetrak
But not in full though! There’s only 10 out of the 13 joints on this brand new mixtape, mixed by the homie, Nick Catchdubs, in this player. See the link below for how to download the full version. For the life of me I’ve never understood why Hypebeast‘s music blog, Hypetrak (which must spend all day, e’ry day uploading tracks to Soundcloud based on the sheer insane number of tracks I see uploaded by them on the regular on my Soundcloud dashboard) can never quite manage to ever upload all the tracks for any of the mixtapes sets they upload – WTF??!
As for this mixtape, it’s fantastic. I used to clown this chick a few years back but let me clear: you need to check this – sh-t’s crazy! Not sure what changed: she got better, music changed so her brand of ‘hip hop’ is now in vogue or I got a little soft in my old age? Maybe a combination of all three although I lean towards the second theory being the most influential out of all three. I think it’s the right time for this chica to come out and finally get the proper attention and success she deserves now so don’t sleep on this.
MP3: Black widow by Spectre, The Ill Saint
Last one for the night. This is super-dope. It’s a track from the Spectre album, Death Before Dying featuring a singer whose name is either Leila or Lai Lo depending on which google search result you click on. I’ll take the word of my man and old college compadre, Skiz, who put this record out via his Wordsound label, that it is in fact Lai Lo. Enjoy the sounds of thie ‘very mysterious chanteuse on the late night creep.’
LOVE this concept! Peep the science:
“Label Love is an eclectic yet unified bundle of unique sounds compiled simply for the love of sharing them with the universe – each track plucked and presented by label heads from Melting Pot, Ninja Tune, One-Handed, Plug Research, Tru Thoughts and Ubiquity.
Each label evokes its own signature swagger giving this collection a diversified and interesting flow of genres. Label Love consists of nostalgic classics, fresh unreleased gems and other dope, exclusive selections with the goal of expanding minds to new styles, vibrations and colors.”

Dig that Apple Juice Kid Frank Sinatra remix project I posted a little earlier? You should! It’s dope. I was kind of mad at myself for not posting it last today ‘cos it would’ve have been a good mellowed-out project to wrap up the night with but he’s also involved with this jazz-flavored project which actually dropped a while ago but I’m just getting to properly now. It’s not a bad way to wrap-up for the night though either. Enjoy….
