Listen to Ian Kamau’s new One Day Soon album in FULL

First official album from the Toronto-based spoken word artist/MC/community activist, Ian Kamau. Think the melodic-yet-monotone lilt of Slick Rick mixed with the spoken word cadence of K-os and you’ll get some sense of what this kid sounds like if you’re not already familiar from when I posted about him on the old Kitchen. Or just hit play above….

Learn more about Kamau in my homegirl Anupa‘s feature interview with him from the Toronto Standard, “Ian Kamau is Saving Toronto and Your Soul—One Song at a Time.”

Don’t usually post radio rips but this one is decent audio quality and it’s the local home town heroes, The Weeknd on the remix for the lead single from ’09 buzz band, Florence + the Machine‘s sophomore follow-up to their hit debut album, Lungs.
