When Simple Things dropped in 2001 it brilliantly fulfilled for me the promise this British duo showed with their remixes including the epicly cinematic treatment they gave Radiohead‘s “Climbing Up The Walls”. Over a decade later they are back with a somewhat new sound but you know what? I’m not mad although am I nuts or does “Don’t Call It Love” kind of, sort of sound like “Somebody That I Used to Know” by Gotye featuring Kimbra melodically??
New music from the homie, Grandtheft on Mad Decent’s Jeffree’s free music digital record label. CLICK HERE to hear “Give Me More”, the other track from this release.
Copped on cassette (yes, you read that right) last night at the Spek Won video release party where Brendan was the opening performer. I was gonna buy it anyway just to support, but was cracking on him until I realized I actually still have a cassette player in active use in my apartment right now, lol. See the video above

I think Pretty Lights would probably like to thank LG for cutting the check on this one (and thus, probably helping underwrite the cost of getting Talib Kweli up on this joint!)
[note: this is a PPC thang via The Be-On Team]
You had a taste of this track before but now there’s a visual! Enjoy….
