Two New Tracks from Game – Stop feat. Rick Ross and DJ Khaled / I’m The King

Speaking of DJ Khaled…

MP3: Game – stop (feat. rick ross and dj khaled) by Restless

I guess it depends who raps on theese faux-cinephonic hip-hop ‘epic’ tracks that are Khaled’s stock-in-trade ‘cos I actually kind of like this song but, as long-time Kitchen aficionados know, I am a massive Game fan and a grudging respecter of Rick Ross. I’ll say this much: I dig this joint more than the supposed official single from his next official album, The R.E.D. Album and DJ Skee & DJ Funkmaster Flex-sponsored mixtape, Purp and Patron, “I’m the King”:

MP3: The Game – I’m The King by josefthaman

Sounds like a wack, halfhearted attempted at “a Power” type of production at the beginning to me but that smoked-out Curren$y/Wiz Khalifa-esque lyrical subject matter and feel ain’t it that takes over as the song continues, homie!

New Music: Timbaland feat. Missy Elliot – Take Ur Clothes Off

MP3: Timbaland featuring Missy Elliot – Take Ur Clothes Off by Hypetrak

Track from Timbaland’s new ‘Timbaland Thursdays’ Free Music campaign. Maybe this’ll be a hit but this sounds really old and dated to me. Does anyone care about Missy any more? You already bit his concept but you couldn’t stop at the artwork – you had to steal that too??! You jocking Kanye like that ??! *Smdh….*

New Music: DJ Khaled feat. Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, T-Pain & Plies – Welcome To My Hood

MP3: DJ Khaled featuring Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, T-Pain & Plies – Welcome To My Hood by Hypetrak

WTF??!? “I’m So Hood” remade?? From Miss Info’s site where I got the heads up on this”

“the irony..welcome to my hood: with the 3 least credible “hood” rappers of the moment?the drug lord who’s not really a drug lord.the college educated goon with less heart than jamie foxx. The blood that got “trapped” in his SUV out in cali wit his daddy. The Arab that drops the N-Bomb and the singer who doesn’t really sing…nice” [sic]

I think that kind of says it all, no? I’m so bored….

New Music: Mickey Factz – Black Tearz Pt. 2 & 3

Part 2:
“It’s said that the eyes are windows to the soul and our faces merely mask what we truly feel. The eyes hold our pain, fear, and our joy. Our eyes are our cameras and the keys to what we perceive and dare to remember. Do you dare to take a look thru Mickey Factz eyes? Do you dare to alter your perception of the world you “see”? ….Black Tearz…The story continues…”

Part 3:
“Tearz are innocent beings that trust the eyes in their lives to protect them from a world that they are struggling to understand. How can tearz know the difference between joy & pain?”

I hope at some point Mickey puts all the parts together as a single track!

New Music: Mickey Factz – Black Tearz Pt 1

Mickey told me about this project while he was in Toronto for the Bun B show before the holidays. Here’s the first part:

“In music, some subjects are forbidden, some are taboo and other are as transparent as the very tears we cry. Walk with Mickey Factz as he takes you on a journey to see the world through his eyes. What you see may make you think, it may make you feel, it may make you change….Black Tearz…This is the beginning”

Love it and excited for the follow-up parts….
